Encomas is very proud to sponsor the Charity Sales to raise fund for Sin Min Private School in Alor Setar since 2010. With the teamwork and generosity from the students, parents, local societies and many organizations, the charity manage to raise on average RM250,000.00 for the Sin Min Private School Fund.
As we all know, Chinese Private school is excluded from the government budget in education sector, hence Chinese Private Schools have to raise their own money to run the schools. On special occasion, these Chinese Private Schools might receive fund from the federal or state government but this happens only every few years.
For Sin Min Private School, they need about RM800,000.00 annually to pay for salary, maintenance, utility bill and many more. It receives funding and support from the local community since the school does not have any sustainable income. Although student had to pay a fee to study there, it is not enough to run the school. The Charity Sales is one of the most important events to raise fund for Sin Min Private School.
Every year for the last 20 plus years, the Charity Sales was held at the school compound on Labor Day. The whole school is mobilized for the events and it is always jam packed and well supported by the local community. Encomas help in paying for the expenses to kick start the charity since year 2010.
